Design Co-ordination Duties
At the early stages of a contract it is essential to gain a full understanding of the client's requirements. In order to do this we chair initial design development meetings with the client, professional team and contractors, which allows us to understand the project, as well as end user requirements.
Following the initial stage, co-ordination meetings are held with all necessary contractors to discuss relevant issues regarding services loadings, pipe sizing, filtration, programme sequences and all other important aspects. We ensure the necessary drawings, documentation, samples and programmed works are being progressed as agreed at the tender stage.
Our designated Technical Service Engineer closely monitors the installation works on-site to ensure these meet the relevant British Standards, quality, specification and drawings.
Regular progress meetings with the contractors are chaired throughout the duration of the contract to encompass the monitoring of procurement and delivery, main installation programmes, technical queries, technical submissions, method statements, programme sequences quality along with health and safety aspects throughout the project.
