Novotel is located on one of the main arteries routes into London which comprises of 220 bedroom, 8 meeting room hotel which also includes a leisure complex within the lower basement area. Rose Building Services were involved in the project from design stage to handover. This involved review at design stage, managing the installation of the mechanical and electrical services, pool installation, installation of utility meters, quality inspections, coordinate Thames Water inspections and client witnessing of commissioning.
The main plantroom is in the lower basement and comprises of 3 boilers, single CHP, 3 calorifier, main cold water storage tank, sauna plant and pool filtration equipment. The services to the room run through a single riser to the first floor then distributes through the corridor to shared risers between rooms up to the 7th floor. The roof mounted plant consists of fresh air handling units for the bedrooms and meeting rooms, VRF condensers supplying the meeting room and public open spaces on the ground and first floor, ensuite and public toilet extract fan. The rooms are conditioned through fan coil unit mounted within the ceiling void with electric heating and cooling coils supplied by with the roof mounted chillier.
