Abbey Leisure Centre

The £14m facility is the third major leisure investment in the borough of Barking and Dagenham in recent years.

The leisure centre consists of a main pool which is 6 lanes and 25m long and a separate slightly smaller training pool.

The gym includes 140 workstations offering the latest cardiovascular, resistance and free weights equipment which inclused interactove screen and TVs.

The newest services at the leisure centre are the addition of an award winning children's soft play facility and a 5* luxury spa, this includes a Spa Hydrotherapy Pool, a Rock Sauna and 3 Steam Rooms.

Renewable technologies installed are a 50KW Photo Voltaic system and 800Kva CHP unit. All the air handling units were carefully selected and have achieved a 'very good' Breeam accreditation.
