RBS provided the role of Independent Commissioning Validation Engineer on behalf of JRL Midgard, operating to achieve satisfactory MEP testing and commissioning in accordance with the required BREEAM ‘Excellent’ performance rating for the redevelopment of the Park Crescent West and Portland Place site.
The development comprised of 6 storeys over lower ground to the 4th Floor levels providing 63 new high quality residential apartments along with 9 Mews Houses. Ancillary areas at basement B1 and B2 levels included an Amenity Area for residents located at B1 with swimming pool, gym, spa treatment rooms and business centre, car parking at B1 and B2 along with plant areas serving the development.
RBS were engaged at the beginning of the projects construction phase by providing a full Commissioning Management Plan for the MEP works within Infrastructure and Residential Areas. This plan set a clear standard expected to be attained, incorporating the necessary procedures and standards to be adhered to from static testing stages, through to dynamic testing, interface connection protocols, Cause and Effect details and Integrated System Testing.
We used the 5 key stage commissioning monitoring to track progress and quality of the works, allowing efficient overall pre-commissioning and commissioning.
