We were appointed by TKS (UK) to manage the design and installation of the highly prestigious Royal Air Force Club located on Piccadilly London, who were marking their Centenary Year by extending the property by adding 17no additional bedrooms, a Business Centre and Fitness Suite.
Rose Building Services were instrumental in the design stages ensuring that the new services were able to be installed in a subtle and sympathetic fashion which adhered with the strict planning authority in this part of the city. The minor existing services which interfaced with the new wing were reconditioned or upgraded accordingly to fall in line with the new property.
One of the most challenging elements to this project was that the new wing was built in the centre of the building on the foot print of the clubs original squash courts. This area was totally land locked with no easy access to allow heavy building machinery, steelwork, or MEP Equipment access. From the beginning it was essential that a clear logistics plan was followed.
Following commissioning and completion of the wing Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth visited and officially opened the amazing new space.
